The Le Hoyo San Luis is a classic expression from Hoyo de Monterrey’s historic Le Hoyo series, which was originally created to showcase tobaccos grown specifically in the fertile San Juan y Martínez region of Cuba's renowned Vuelta Abajo zone. Named after the town of San Luis in Pinar del Río, this cigar pays tribute to one of the most celebrated tobacco-growing origins in the world. Rolled in the classic Hermosos No. 2 format (a slightly extended Robusto with a slender 46 ring gauge), the San Luis offers an elegant, aromatic smoking experience. It opens with gentle woodiness, smooth cream, and sweet herbal notes, evolving into nuances of roasted almonds, subtle white pepper, and light cedar. Discontinued as a regular production line in the mid-2000s, it remains a highly sought-after collectible among vintage Cuban cigar enthusiasts for its silky refinement and delicate complexity.
