Romano Dal Forno, Valpolicella DOC Superiore 2013

This wine is full-bodied with a remarkably rich, dense, and opulent texture that goes far beyond what you would expect from a standard Valpolicella. The core features prominent savory notes of dark chocolate, aromatic espresso, graphite, and exotic baking spices, beautifully balanced by concentrated flavors of ripe blackberries, blueberry compote, and a hint of wild herbs. The tannins are thick, velvety, and exceptionally polished with a firm, commanding grip, supported by lively, mouth-watering acidity. It finishes dry and incredibly long with lingering notes of dark cocoa, pipe tobacco, and sweet, refined oak.
