The Hoyo de Monterrey Petit Robusto is a Petit Robusto cigar that was the first of its kind, introduced in 2005.

It offers a subtle smoke, full of deep, earthy yet elegant flavors, with wood, salt, and walnut taking the lead. The smoke output is impressive, thick and creamy, with its smooth transition guiding us through the smoke. Other notes of cream, cinnamon, and vanilla emerge in the latter half, joined by a touch of pepper towards the end.

After a hearty dinner, the Petit Robusto pairs perfectly with a light beer or Pinot Noir.

To enhance the rich flavors of the Hoyo de Monterrey Petit Robustos, consider pairing it with a good aged rum or single malt Scotch whisky. The sweetness of rum complements the cigar's creamy and nutty notes, while the complexity of Scotch whisky enhances its earthy and spicy undertones. For a non-alcoholic option, a strong espresso or a hot chocolate with dark chocolate can also be a delightful pairing.
