Crafted from dark tobacco grown in the swampy, mineral-heavy soil of the Dominican Republic's Yamasá region, the full-bodied Davidoff Yamasa Toro—a flagship of the Black Band Collection—delivers an intense, constantly evolving profile. Its opening note delivers a punch of black pepper, vibrant cedar, and heavy mineral earthiness. As the burn transitions into the mid-section, the initial spice yields to a richer blend of dark espresso, worn leather, and toasted oak, offset by a velvety sweetness reminiscent of molasses and dark cherry. The smoke culminates in a robust final third, surging with notes of bitter dark cocoa, charred wood, roasted nuts, and a sharp, spicy retrohale.
