Hoyo de Monterrey is an existing pre-revolutionary brand, established in 1865.
It is classified as a global brand by Habanos and holds an important market position.
'Hoyo' refers to the sloping terrain that can help with drainage, which is the ideal planting area for tobacco farmers. The founder of the brand rented the world's best cigar tobacco fields - the famous Vuelta Abajo region, including the Hoyo de Monterrey estate in the San Juan and Martinez areas, in 1860. In 1884, he decided to adopt the estate name "Hoyo de Monterrey" as the brand name, and the 18 gold medals on the packaging represent the awards the brand has won at international exhibitions.
Hoyo de Monterrey cigars have a unique and subtle aroma, making them suitable for beginners or occasional cigar smokers.
